The first draw under the Express Entry system for 2017 took place on January 4th, 2017.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada handed out 2,902 Invitation to Apply which makes this the largest draw in the history of the Express Entry system. The minimum score for this round was 468. This is the lowest score selected since April 20th, 2016.
As per Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s Supplementary Information 2017 – Immigration Levels Plan, Canada is looking to welcome an estimated 124,700 new immigrants to Canada under the Immigration Programs which use the Express Entry System in 2017.
The Draws for 2017 have been as follows:
- January 4th, 2017 – 2,902 invitations – Minimum score of 468
